Services Offered

At Elsen Counseling Services we offer different kind of services, tailor made to your specific needs.

1: Life Coaching

What is a Life Coach and why would I need one? A Life Coach is someone who helps you reach a goal or make a change in your life.

From Point A to Point B

A life coach helps you get from where you are in your life now, to where you want to go. Said in another way, their job is to help you get from Point A to Point B in your life.

It is someone who supports you, motivates you, and holds you accountable to achieving your vision for yourself. Whatever it is that you want in your life, they will help you get it.

A life coach helps you:

Get crystal clear on what you really want in your life
Uncover what’s holding you back from achieving your vision for yourself
Take action steps to achieve your vision by supporting you and keeping you accountable

Make a Change and Move Forward

A life coach helps you to move your life forward and to find fulfillment, success, well-being and happiness. They can help you to pinpoint the blocks or obstacles that are making you feel “stuck” and help you to move through them. They may also guide you through a life transition, such as finding a new career, or looking to start a new relationship.

You might call them a “change facilitator” or a “courage catalyst”.

A life coach is not a therapist. A Life Coach helps you focus mostly toward your future, rather than dealing primarily with your past.

Pieter also offers as an added option along with Life Coaching, an healing technique called ‘therapeutic imagery’. Therapeutic Imagery is a powerful technique that uses images and imagination to alter behavior. The psychologist H.S. Sullivan used the term, “parataxic distortion” to describe the inclination to skew perception of others and events based on fantasy. It is attributing a causal relation between events that are in fact completely independent of each other. To give an example: a man meets somebody he likes and falls in love with, and then starts regarding his lover as a child that he needs to protect and control. In reality he has been the victim of a very insecure childhood himself and projects this insecurity on his lover. It is a kind of transference that is common and actually hard to avoid. We learn after all through our past experiences and use that knowledge to assess new situations. Sometimes our reactions and interpretations of people and situations may be so distorted that it becomes problematic and we need help. Therapeutic imagery can help to recreate this situation and reinterpret it, and teach the client to see it in a different light and adapt healthier responses.

A life coach helps you to accomplish your goals, make new changes, and live your dreams.

2: Spiritual Counseling

What is Spiritual Counseling and how would this help me? At Elsen Hypnotherapy we practice coaching/counseling called Life Leadership Coaching –A Transpersonal Approach to Self-Completeness. Pieter’s vast international multi-cultural background and experience, combined with his broad education and scholarship has helped many cross the rough waters of life. His background as a Vedic monk of 21 years, combined with his successful counseling and therapy practice allows for a unique perspective on life, unlike most of the regular impersonal and intellectual forms of therapy we are used to.

Spiritual Counseling helps you gain a higher perspective of life by creating an increased awareness of the metaphysical laws of the universe. This then will allow us a fresh and more illumined outlook on our everyday issues and struggles. Diving deep in our minds and becoming aware of our limited perceptions and expanding these perceptions towards higher forms of conscious awareness is what is spiritual counseling.
